Your mission

  • the task of the Indirect Channel Manager & Teamlead (In Home, Digital & Partnerships), also known as the Sales Partner, is to lead a sales team of Partner Accounts and directly manage a number of larger commercial partners
  • you will have nationwide responsibility for the further expansion and monitoring of our business through the sales channels assigned to you (mainly indirect sales channels such as authorised Electrabel installers network, door-to-door vendors, retailers, contacts with comparison websites, purchasing groups) for the sale of products and services for the retail market (primarily Residentials and Soho segments)
  • you will draw up an annual Sales Plan, manage the Partner Accounts Sales Teams and determine their objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring that the sales team is adequately trained, as well as coaching, motivating and encouraging the sales team to achieve top performance by: assessing team members on quantity and quality, and coaching them in sales skills, as well as working approach and structure
  • you will be responsible for the achievement of objectives and will oversee the performance of the entire Indirect Sales Team
  • you will report and analyse your channel's qualitative and quantitative results
  • you will directly manage a number of strategic commercial partners, developing and monitoring the annual account plan and sales strategy for them
  • you will detect new business leads (channels)
  • you will manage the budgets for operating these channels (including sales budgets and partners' remuneration)
  • in cooperation with Marketing and Process Management, you will develop the actions and policies for your channels. You will organise regular operational meetings to continuously optimise the collaboration with and operation of these channels in line with established priorities and market developments
  • you will coordinate process implementation and associated change management for the channels for which you are responsible, and determine autonomy in relation to channel activity and collaboration with partners
  • you will report to the Sales Manager Retail - Indirect Channels

Qualifications

  • you have a university degree in a commercial or technical subject (or equivalent experience)
  • you preferably have a minimum of five years' sales experience, at least some of it in the energy sector
  • you have a customer-centric mindset and can apply the principles of continuous improvement
  • you have excellent commercial acumen and sound analytical skills
  • you have experience with people management
  • knowledge of and/or experience in distribution channels is an asset, as is experience of working in a cross-segment environment
  • you are dynamic and a team player
  • you are assertive, persuasive and are familiar with sales techniques
  • you speak and write fluent Dutch and French and have a working knowledge of English
